Our HISTORY…
People meet in all sorts of places: at a bar, at the movies, or at the grocery store. But what happens when two people meet underwater? Well, in this case, there's a strong "risk" that a beautiful and lasting friendship could be born.
This is the story of Fernando (il Greco) and Maurizio (Macce), who began a scuba diving course some years ago and met during a dive in Argentario, Tuscany. Since then, they've shared numerous dives, in the sea, lakes, and caves, in Italy and abroad. The friendship went on to include other people, and a beautiful group of scuba diving enthusiasts was formed – a group that wanted to spend time together even outside the water.
IlGreco and Macce founded the "SubNormali" group, recognizable by their cute logo featuring a shark (Sharkino) complete with a miniature regulator, tank, weight belt, and fins. Several trips were organized between friends (to Elba, Argentario, Ponza, Pozzuoli, Capodacqua, Portofino, Genoa, the seas of Sardinia and Corsica, but also to Egypt, the Caribbean, and Thailand).
The desire to be together and somehow "officialize" this friendship was so great that in September 2022, Fernando founded an amateur sports association called DuecentoBar (a name that recalls the average pressure to which a scuba tank is filled and evokes the desire to have fun and toast together as friends, with divers and non-divers). The logo also features Sharkino, representing their passion for the sea and its hidden treasures.
Thus began the diving courses in Prato.
In general, from the very beginning, diving has been accompanied by a series of cultural and recreational events for sharing and socializing, welcoming both divers and non-divers, including enthusiasts from outside the diving world.
It all boils down to three simple but absolutely fundamental words: safety, sharing, and fun.
